Arvind Advanced Materials
Ahmedabad
Arvind Advanced Materials (AAML) is the technology-led advanced materials platform of Arvind Limited, part of the Lalbhai Group and one of India's most established textile and materials businesses. We engineer fibre into finished performance for industries where the material decides the outcome: protective fabrics for people who work in hazardous environments, lightweight composites for infrastructure and mobility, and filtration media that help industry run cleaner.
Integrated from fibre to certified finished product, AAML works across three businesses:
- Human Protection: flame-retardant and protective fabrics and garments for industrial, utility and defence users.
- Composites: pultruded profiles, prepregs and composite pressure vessels for infrastructure, energy and mobility.
- Industrials: filtration media, belting and coated fabrics for demanding industrial processes.
With manufacturing in India, the United States and Egypt, and customers in more than 50 countries, AAML is investing in new technologies, global partnerships and international growth. Building a modern, brand- and demand-led marketing function is central to that next chapter.
About the role
We are building AAML’s marketing function and seeking a hands-on B2B marketer to strengthen our digital presence and create transparent, compelling content and sales collateral. As the first dedicated marketing hire, you will work closely with the Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, corporate communications, business and technical teams, and external agencies engaged for specialist support. This is a chance to shape how an ambitious, technology-led materials business presents itself to customers in India and around the world.
Your primary focus will be digital strategy, content and collateral. You will personally develop messaging and write and edit core content, while briefing and managing specialist design, website and video production. The role also includes marketing support for 2–3 exhibitions annually.
Key responsibilities
Digital strategy and execution
- Develop a prioritised digital marketing plan aligned with business goals,
target customers and available budgets. Recommend the right mix of website content, SEO, LinkedIn, email and paid campaigns.
- Manage the content calendar and day-to-day digital activity; work with agencies on website improvements and specialist campaign execution.
- Track engagement, enquiries and lead sources; use findings to improve content, channel choices and spend.
Content and sales collateral
- Work with sales and technical teams to understand products, applications and customer needs, translating these into clear, credible messages and customer advantages.
- Write and edit website copy, brochures, pitch decks, case studies, sample-book content, social posts and video scripts. Tailor materials to priority audiences and markets.
- Brief and review design, photography and video work; ensure the business teams validate technical claims before publication.
- Maintain an organised library of current, approved collateral and incorporate feedback from sales teams.
Collaboration and delivery
- Manage agency briefs, timelines, quality and agreed budgets for assigned projects. Coordinate internal inputs and approvals to keep work moving.
- Keep AAML’s messaging and visual identity consistent across all materials, working with the CSMO and corporate communications; contribute content for PR and leadership communications.
- Coordinate marketing for 2–3 exhibitions annually, including event messaging, collateral, pre-event promotion, display and booth briefs, and lead capture. Work with vendors on production and logistics and with sales on post-event follow-up.
- Agree priorities across the three businesses with the CSMO; maintain a simple marketing dashboard; and coordinate lead hand-off with sales and the CRM team.
What you bring
- 8–12 years of marketing experience, with a strong record in B2B marketing and evidence of personal contribution to digital activity and content creation.
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn technical information into relevant customer-facing communication.
- Practical digital marketing judgement: selecting channels, planning campaigns, interpreting performance and working effectively with specialists.
- Experience briefing and managing agencies or freelancers, with strong creative judgement and attention to detail.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working independently and delivering alongside senior leaders, sales and technical teams.
- A portfolio demonstrating your own contribution to B2B content, collateral and digital campaigns.
Preferred
- Experience in technical textiles, materials, manufacturing, chemicals, composites or other B2B product businesses. Strong candidates from other B2B sectors are welcome.
- Exposure to export markets, trade exhibitions, website/CMS management, CRM lead tracking and marketing analytics.
- Practical use of AI tools to support content and campaign workflows, with sound editing and fact-checking; familiarity with presentation and basic design tools.
Education and other requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for exhibitions, shoots and customer or partner engagements.
What success looks like
Specific priorities and targets will be agreed with the CSMO. As a guide:
- First 90 days: an audit of current channels and materials, an agreed digital and content plan, a working content calendar, and a first collateral kit for a priority business.
- First 12 months: refreshed website content delivered with the web agency, a growing library of case studies and application stories, collateral that sales teams use, lead sources tracked from first enquiry, and well-run marketing for the year’s exhibitions.
