Company Description Vektra Engineering Pvt Ltd is a leading manufacturer and exporter of hydraulic cylinders used in construction and mining equipment, steel and aluminium plants, defense equipment, railways, cement, and paper plants. The company operates a state-of-the-art facility with advanced equipment and processes including honing, induction hardening, chrome plating, CNC turning, grinding, and a dust-free assembly area.

Vektra has now ventured into manufacturing of Industrial Gearboxes and components. The recent state of the art facility includes Hoffler Profile Grinding CNC along with Mitsubishi Gear Hobbing machines supported by othe traditional machines like Cylindrical Grinding, Keyway Milling etc. They are backed by an Experienced Design and Engineering team .

Role Description The Senior Manager Marketing – Gear Boxes is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for gear box products, including market research, segmentation, positioning, and pricing to support business growth. The individual will manage marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and product communication in coordination with sales, engineering, and production teams.

Daily responsibilities include identifying new markets and customers, building relationships with key accounts, monitoring competitor activity, and preparing performance reports and forecasts. The role also involves collaborating on product development inputs,



supporting technical presentations and customer visits, and ensuring brand consistency across all marketing materials and channels.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid marketing and product management skills, including experience in industrial or engineering products, preferably gear boxes or related mechanical equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in market research, data analysis, and strategic planning to identify opportunities, assess competition, and prepare effective marketing plans.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage with customers, internal stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Candidates should possess relationship-building and account management skills, with a track record of developing long-term customer partnerships in B2B environments.
- Candidates should possess organizational and leadership skills, including the ability to lead projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Relevant experience in heavy engineering, mining, construction equipment, or power transmission industries is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems, along with readiness for customer travel as required.
