InfinityX Innovations is building next-generation ultra-fast EV charging and battery-swapping infrastructure. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Engineer to develop electro-mechanical components and battery-system hardware—from concept and component selection through integration, validation, and production readiness.
You will work on the design and development of battery-pack electro-mechanical parts, including connectors, busbars, contactors, fuses, sensors, cooling interfaces, mounting structures, and battery-insertion / connection mechanisms. You will collaborate closely with mechanical, electronics, embedded, manufacturing, and supplier teams to take products through the complete development cycle.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop electro-mechanical components for EV battery packs and battery-swapping systems
- Work on battery hardware architecture, including connectors, busbars, HV components, contactors, fuses, current sensors, and thermal interfaces
- Design and validate battery insertion, locking, alignment, and connection mechanisms
- Support mechanical and electronics integration for battery packs, BMS hardware, power electronics, and charging interfaces
- Create CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, specifications, and DFMEA documentation
- Support prototype builds, bench testing, environmental testing, and design validation
- Coordinate with vendors for component sourcing, custom part development, qualification, and cost optimization
- Support products from concept through DFM, pilot production, testing, and scale-up
- Resolve issues related to fitment, assembly, safety, thermal performance, vibration, ingress protection, and reliability
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years of experience in battery systems,
EV powertrain, energy storage, or electro-mechanical product development
- Hands-on experience with battery-pack electro-mechanical components: connectors, busbars, HV components, contactors, fuses, sensors, and mounting systems
- Experience with battery insertion, locking, docking, or connection mechanisms is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of mechanical-electronics integration for battery products
- Knowledge of battery safety, HV systems, thermal management, vibration, IP protection, and reliability requirements
- Experience taking products through the complete cycle: concept, CAD, BOM, prototyping, testing, DFM, vendor development, and production
- Proficiency in Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Creo
- Valuable knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with suppliers and supporting component qualification
- Strong ownership, structured problem-solving, and ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment
Must-have qualifications
- 3+ years in battery systems / EV hardware / electro-mechanical product development
- Hands-on experience with battery connectors, busbars, HV components, and battery-pack integration
- Experience in mechanical-electronics integration
- Concept-to-production product development experience
- Bengaluru on-site availability
- Notice period: Immediate to 30 days preferred
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with battery-swapping systems, fast-charging hardware, or energy-storage systems
- Experience with battery-insertion / docking mechanisms
- Knowledge of AIS-156, IEC, UL, or automotive battery validation standards
- Familiarity with BMS, power electronics, and charging-system interfaces
