Role Description The Senior Accountant role at BACHOOMAL SONS is a full-time, on-site position based in Agra.

The Senior

Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations, including managing general ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts. The role involves preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Accountant will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal controls, and will coordinate with management to provide financial analysis for decision-making. The role also includes supervising junior accounting staff,



reviewing their work for accuracy, and collaborating with other departments to support efficient financial processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with taxation, compliance, and regulatory reporting relevant to retail or trading businesses.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in MS Excel and other office tools.
- Ability to perform account reconciliations, manage payables and receivables, and support budgeting and cash-flow monitoring.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial data for management insights.
- Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; skilled certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, preferably in retail, fashion, or consumer goods.
