Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, conducting regular workplace inspections, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations and standards. The role involves identifying hazards, assessing risks, and coordinating corrective actions to prevent incidents and occupational illnesses.

The Safety

Officer will conduct safety trainings, maintain safety records, support accident and incident investigations,



and collaborate with operations, HR, and management to promote a strong safety culture. The role also includes coordinating with security teams where necessary and preparing periodic reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in Accident Investigation and incident reporting, including root cause analysis and preventive action planning.
- Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate Safety Training programs for employees at all levels.
- Understanding of Security coordination and procedures as they relate to workplace safety and emergency response.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive safety initiatives.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably within automotive or related sectors.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and safety management systems for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and conduct regular floor walks, audits, and inspections.
