Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Manager role based in Tiruchirappalli.

The Purchase

Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and finalizing purchase orders for materials and services related to fuel firing systems and associated controls. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to forecast material requirements, and ensuring timely delivery to support project schedules.

The Purchase

Manager will maintain vendor relationships, assess supplier performance,



and ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant regulations. The position also includes preparing procurement reports, streamlining purchasing processes, and contributing to cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong procurement and vendor management skills, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order administration.
- Experience with inventory control, material planning, and coordination with production or project teams in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of contracts, pricing strategies, and basic commercial and legal terms related to purchasing.
- Proficiency in using ERP or other procurement software, along with solid MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail and cost awareness.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; relevant experience in industrial or power sector procurement is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Tiruchirappalli, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety, quality, and ethical standards.
