• Architecture: Translate mission needs into propulsion requirements and system architectures. Maintain end-to-end traceability and lead technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FRR).
- Integration &
- ICDs: Serve as the focal point for Interface Control Documents (ICDs), ensuring seamless compatibility across structures, thermal, power, avionics, GNC, and flight software.
- Launch Vehicle Compliance: Coordinate qualification evidence, range safety, pressurized systems compliance, and approvals with launch providers (e.g., SpaceX Rideshare, ISRO).
- Technical Budgets &
- Risk Analysis: Manage system technical margins (mass, power, thermal, volume) and lead safety/reliability assessments (FMECA, FTA, DFMEA/PFMEA, SSPP).
- Verification, Testing &
- Operations: Develop V&V; plans and verification matrices. Drive development testing, TRRs, anomaly resolution, and propellant loading/in-orbit readiness.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority to resolve system-level design conflicts between propulsion research and satellite engineering teams.
