Role Description The Production and Quality Manager (Pants and Shirts) is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur. This role oversees end-to-end production processes for pants and shirts, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing teams. The manager ensures that quality standards are defined, implemented, and maintained, conducts inspections at each stage, and addresses defects or process deviations promptly.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring production targets, managing resources and workflow, optimizing use of machinery and materials, and maintaining compliance with safety and workplace guidelines. The role also involves collaborating with design, procurement, and sales teams to align product specifications, delivery timelines, and customer requirements.

Qualifications





- Experience in garment production management, especially in woven pants and shirts, with strong understanding of cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing processes.
- Proficiency in quality control and assurance practices, including setting quality standards, conducting in-line and final inspections, and handling non-conformities.
- Skills in production planning and scheduling, workflow optimization, and capacity management to meet delivery timelines and cost targets.
- Knowledge of textile and garment construction, fabric behavior, trims, and finishing techniques relevant to uniforms and fashion apparel.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, including supervising floor staff, training operators, and fostering a secure, inclusive work environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process bottlenecks, implement improvements, and reduce defects and rework.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with design, sourcing, sales, and vendor partners.
- Familiarity with basic production documentation, quality records, and use of Excel or production management software.
- Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Garment Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience in place of formal education will be considered.
- Prior experience in uniform manufacturing or institutional apparel production is an added advantage.
