About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AML / compliance professional to join Indiabit as Principal Officer – FIU-IND for our Virtual Digital Asset (VDA) operations.

The Principal Officer will play a critical role in building Indiabit’s compliance framework, FIU-IND readiness, AML governance, and regulatory culture.

Core Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

Act as the Principal Officer and primary contact point for FIU-IND and other relevant authorities.

Lead AML / CFT compliance under PMLA and applicable FIU-IND requirements.

Handle FIU-IND registration, regulatory submissions, clarifications, reporting, and ongoing compliance.

AML Program Oversight

Build and maintain AML, KYC, risk assessment, transaction monitoring, STR / CTR, record-keeping, and internal reporting frameworks.

Review customer onboarding, wallet activity, deposits, withdrawals, trading activity, and suspicious transaction indicators.

Required Experience

- 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience in AML, financial crime compliance, PMLA,



regulatory compliance, or related areas.
- Solid understanding of FIU-IND obligations, PMLA, KYC, AML / CFT, STR / CTR reporting, and risk-based compliance.
- Experience in crypto / VDA, fintech, banking, NBFC, payments, securities, or other regulated financial services is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, regulatory coordination, and ownership skills.
- Must be based in Bangalore and available for active involvement.

Preferred Attributes

Prior experience as Principal Officer, Compliance Officer, AML Officer, or similar role.

Experience handling FIU-IND reporting, audits, inspections, or regulatory queries.

AML certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CAFP, or similar.

Understanding of crypto exchange operations, blockchain analytics, wallet monitoring, or VDA transaction risks.
