About the Team:

As a part of the Political Intelligence (PI) team at Varahe Analytics, you will have the opportunity to understand and analyze Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape at the grassroots level. You will conduct original research and analysis on political, social, and economic developments across the state, generating actionable insights to support electoral strategy and decision-making for a national political party.

The role demands a high level of confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and disciplined adherence to documentation protocols and deadlines. A sound understanding of Andhra Pradesh’s regional dynamics, local issues, political developments, and socio-cultural landscape will be valuable.

What Would This Role Entail?

- Closely monitor key political, social,



and economic developments across Andhra Pradesh, while maintaining a broader understanding of state and national politics.
- Conduct rigorous primary research through phone calls with political and social influencers, focus group discussions, interviews, field interactions, and other investigative methods to understand the political and socio-cultural landscape of the state.
- Undertake secondary research to prepare detailed reports on Andhra Pradesh and its constituencies, covering historical electoral trends, current political scenarios, local issues, leadership dynamics, and emerging developments.
- Analyse constituency-level political dynamics, voter concerns, regional issues, and grassroots feedback to generate actionable insights.
- Use AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) effectively to support qualitative research, information synthesis, data analysis, insight generation, and research workflows.
- Develop structured, data-backed, and client-ready presentations and decks to communicate research findings, key observations, and strategic insights.
- Interface with client-side stakeholders and local representatives while adhering to relevant protocols and maintaining confidentiality.

Necessary Skills:





- Willingness to travel extensively and apply themselves.
- Must be robust in data analysis, logical reasoning and reading comprehension.
- Structured thinking and ability to logically structure documents and communicate insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of politics and the nature of India’s democracy.
- Good knowledge/proficiency in using AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) for conducting qualitative research, synthesizing information, generating insights and improving research workflows.
- Ability to design and develop clear, structured and client-ready decks/presentations.
- Ability to undertake and monitor multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery while working in a team environment.
- Strong proficiency in Telugu and English. Proficiency in Hindi is desirable.

Good to Have Skills:

- Understanding of native place of residence’s political landscape
- Exposure of working in fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Prior experience in political research, public policy, consulting, journalism, research, or related fields.
- Familiarity with the state’s electoral landscape, voter concerns, grassroots networks, and local socio-economic challenges.
- Proficiency in additional regional languages or dialects relevant to the assigned region.
