MAINTENANCE MANAGER

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance activities in a biscuit manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, breakdown elimination, team management, and continuous improvement.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

- Experience: 7–9 years of maintenance experience in the biscuit manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Must have proven experience in maintenance team handling and coordination with production and other departments.

CORE COMPETENCIES

1. Oven Systems: Indirect- and direct-fired ovens.
2. Dough Preparation: Dough mixers and associated equipment.
3. Material Handling: Material transfer systems and conveyors.
4. Utilities: Water treatment systems, compressed air, and associated utilities.
5. Processing Equipment: Rotary units, cutting units, and other biscuit processing machinery.
6. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, and condition monitoring.
7. TPM: Total Productive Maintenance and continuous improvement.
8. Breakdown Management: Troubleshooting, breakdown analysis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and recurring breakdown elimination.
9. Downtime Reduction:



Target-oriented reduction of equipment breakdowns and production losses.
10. Equipment Reliability: Improving equipment availability, reliability, and uptime.
11. Performance Monitoring: MTBF, MTTR, and OEE tracking and improvement.
12. Technical Troubleshooting: Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and drive systems.
13. Maintenance Planning: Annual maintenance planning, shutdown management, and execution.
14. Spare Parts Management: Critical spare identification, inventory control, and availability.
15. Cost Optimization: Maintenance budgeting, repair-cost control, and resource optimization.
16. Maintenance Systems: CMMS/SAP PM, work orders, equipment history, and maintenance documentation.
17. Team Leadership: Team handling, work allocation, technician skill development, and contractor coordination.
18. Human Safety: LOTO, permit-to-work, machine guarding, and safe maintenance practices.
19. Food Safety & Hygiene: Basic understanding of GMP, GHP, and applicable food safety standards.
