Role Description The Land Acquisition Head is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing suitable land parcels for residential and commercial projects. This role involves conducting market and site feasibility studies, negotiating with landowners and intermediaries, and managing the end-to-end acquisition process in alignment with company strategy and legal guidelines.

The Land Acquisition

Head will collaborate closely with senior management, legal, finance, and project teams to assess risks, finalize agreements, and ensure smooth handover of acquired properties for development. Day-to-day activities include building and maintaining a strong network of local contacts, monitoring market trends,



preparing acquisition proposals and reports, and leading a team to achieve targeted acquisition goals.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to assess land feasibility, market potential, pricing, and risk.
- Proven experience in land acquisitions, including negotiation, due diligence, and closure of deals.
- Background in customer acquisition or stakeholder relationship management, with the ability to build and maintain networks.
- Demonstrated team management skills, including mentoring, performance oversight, and cross-functional coordination.
- Sales and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and drive acquisition targets.
- Knowledge of local real estate regulations, land laws, and documentation processes in Chennai and Tamil Nadu.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English; local language skills are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site, travel within the region as required, and manage multiple acquisitions simultaneously.
