Role Description The Jr.

Piping

Engineer – Plant 3D Software role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The individual in this role will assist in developing piping layouts and 3D models in Plant 3D for various industrial projects, ensuring adherence to design standards, codes, and project specifications. Day-to-day activities include performing basic calculations, preparing piping drawings and isometrics, coordinating with senior engineers and other disciplines, and updating models and documentation as designs evolve.

Engineer will support stress analysis reviews, help resolve design clashes, and participate in design reviews to ensure constructability and safety. The role also involves maintaining project files, following QA/QC procedures, and contributing to efficient project execution within timelines.

Qualifications

- Robust foundational skills in Piping Design and Plant 3D or equivalent 3D modeling software, with the ability to create and modify piping layouts and equipment arrangements.
- Knowledge of Piping, Pipe components, and related standards, with the ability to interpret P&IDs;, layout drawings, and material specifications.
- Ability to perform basic engineering Calculations related to piping systems, including supports, sizing, and preliminary design checks.
- Understanding of Stress Analysis concepts for piping systems and willingness to support detailed analysis under guidance from senior engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in CAD/3D modeling tools; exposure to Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and design compliance.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams on-site in Pune Division.
