? We're Hiring: Business Development Head – Smart Manufacturing | SmartRun

SmartRun Technologies helps manufacturers, including Automotive OEM, Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers, turn shop-floor data into improved factory intelligence through Industrial IoT, Vision and AI on our SmartRun platform. We're looking for an experienced Business Development Head to lead our growth in the Smart Manufacturing space.

? Location: Chennai, India

? Experience: 15+ years

? What You'll Do

· Shape and refine our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy in Smart Manufacturing to position the SmartRun platform and related services

· Own quarterly booking and collection targets

· Primary region is Tamil Nadu & Bengaluru. Secondary region includes Pune, Ahmedabad & NCR.

· Independently identify target accounts, build relationships, and nurture engagements from first contact to closure

· Own end-to-end RFP/bid responses, Solution Proposal Documents, commercials, and SOWs based on a explicit understanding of client requirements

· Work with our Technical and Engineering teams to define solution details

· Represent SmartRun in customer meetings, presenting our capabilities and case studies





· Guide the marketing team in online research and in creating industry and market trend reports

· Lead and manage a distributed sales and marketing team

? What We're Looking For

- 15+ years of overall experience, including at least 10 years in Sales & Marketing within IT / Software Services
- Proven sales experience in the Manufacturing industry, with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes
- Hands-on experience preparing RFP responses, solution proposals, and SOWs
- Strong ability to create sales content in Word and PowerPoint. You use AI tools wisely, but you don't depend on them, and you can review and approve marketing content before it goes out
- Excellent written and spoken English; spoken Hindi is required
- Experience working with US-based clients is a strong plus

? Education MBA, BBA, B.E., or MCA preferred
