Role Description The Donor Relations Specialist is a full time, remote role responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organizations. Day-to-day tasks include responding to donor inquiries, providing excellent service, and ensuring timely, accurate communication and acknowledgment of contributions. The specialist will manage annual giving activities, support fundraising campaigns, and help design engagement strategies that encourage sustained and increased support.

This role also involves preparing donor reports and updates, maintaining donor records in CRM or database systems, and coordinating virtual meetings or events to strengthen donor engagement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to deliver responsive, professional, and empathetic support to donors.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Candidates should possess experience with Annual Giving and Donor Relations to manage campaigns, acknowledgments, and ongoing donor engagement.
- Candidates should possess an understanding of Philanthropy and nonprofit fundraising practices to support strategic donor stewardship and relationship-building.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage time independently, and handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with donor management or CRM systems, basic data entry, and report generation.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of donor information.
- Relevant education in communications, nonprofit management, social work, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a donor-facing or customer-facing role.
