We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Collection Head to lead and manage the company's collection operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in digital lending, NBFC, fintech, or financial services collections, with proven expertise in managing collection teams, improving recovery rates, reducing delinquency, and driving collection strategies.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the end-to-end collection function across assigned portfolios.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to improve recovery and reduce delinquency.
- Manage early bucket, late bucket, and overdue collections through appropriate collection strategies.
- Monitor collection performance, recovery rates, roll rates, DPD movement, and portfolio quality.
- Set monthly collection targets and ensure achievement through effective team management.
- Manage and mentor collection managers, team leaders, and tele-calling teams.
- Track individual and team-level performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Credit, Risk, Operations, Customer Service, and Legal for effective recovery.
- Manage and monitor external collection agencies and vendors, wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper follow-up with customers through tele-calling, digital communication, and other approved collection channels.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly collection MIS and performance reports.
- Analyze collection data to identify high-risk accounts, delinquency trends, and recovery opportunities.
- Develop strategies for reducing PAR/NPA and overdue accounts.
- Ensure that all collection activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical collection practices.
- Handle escalated and high-value delinquent cases.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the collections function.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs for the collection team.
- Work with senior management to develop collection budgets,



targets, and performance plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate degree in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Finance, Operations, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Overall Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in Credit and Collections.
- Domain Focus: Proven track record in Fintech / Digital Lending Collections.
- Specialized Expertise: Minimum 3 years of recent experience specifically in the Payday Loan / Bullet Loan segment is required.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in collections, preferably in NBFC, digital lending, fintech, consumer finance, personal loan, or payday loan businesses.
- Strong experience in managing large collection teams and multiple collection channels.
- Good understanding of DPD, PAR, NPA, roll rates, collection efficiency, recovery rate, and delinquency management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and team-management abilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS, and collection dashboards.
- Experience in working with collection agencies/vendors will be preferred.
- Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced setting.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates from NBFCs, digital lending companies, fintech companies, consumer finance, personal loan, payday loan, bullet loan, or other retail lending businesses with strong collection leadership experience will be preferred.

Mandatory Experience Criteria:

1. Minimum 6+ years of overall experience in Credit & Collections.
2. Strong and proven experience in Fintech / Digital Lending Collections.
3. Minimum 3 years of recent, hands-on experience specifically in Payday Loan / Bullet Loan collections.
