About the Role The Business Development Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. You will identify and qualify new leads, build and maintain relationships with potential partners and clients, and support the end-to-end sales cycle. This role involves regular in-person interaction with clients and stakeholders to expand Upcykal's presence in the e-waste and sustainability ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, prospect, and qualify new leads to build a robust sales pipeline
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners and clients
- Conduct market research on trends, competitors, and customer needs




- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
- Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and maintain accurate records in CRM/tracking tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proposals, negotiations, and growth strategies

Requirements

- Minimum 6 months of sales experience (B2B inside sales or similar)
- Proven lead generation skills — prospecting, qualifying, and pipeline management
- Market research ability to analyze trends, competitors, and customer needs (sustainability/recycling sector a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with targets, metrics, and CRM tools
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru with a genuine interest in environmental sustainability

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field
- Experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within sustainability, waste management, or technology-driven services
