Role Description The Branch Head – Retail Branch Banking is a full-time, on-site role based across branches in Andhra Pradesh. This role oversees overall branch operations, including retail banking business growth, customer service excellence, and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

The Branch

Head is responsible for driving sales of retail banking products, developing and executing branch business plans, and ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and portfolio quality targets.



Day-to-day activities include leading and mentoring the branch team, monitoring performance, managing risk, handling escalated customer issues, and maintaining robust relationships with local customers and stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating with regional and head office teams, implementing process improvements, and promoting digital and inclusive banking initiatives aligned with ESAF’s social banking mission.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Business Planning and Retail banking skills to develop and execute branch strategies and manage product portfolios.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret performance data, assess risk, and make informed decisions.
- Candidates should possess proven Sales capabilities to drive customer acquisition, cross-selling, and revenue growth in a competitive retail environment.
- Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills to lead, coach, and develop branch staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Relevant experience in retail branch banking or financial services, preferably in leadership roles managing branch operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-centric mindset and ability to handle escalations professionally.
- Good understanding of banking regulations, compliance, risk management, and operational controls.
- Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate or professional banking qualification is an added advantage.
