Role Description The Area Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing credit evaluation and approval processes within the assigned area. The role involves assessing loan applications, analyzing financial documents and creditworthiness, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.

The Area Credit

Manager will monitor portfolio quality, identify and mitigate credit risks, and support branch teams with guidance on complex credit decisions. The role includes collaborating with sales, operations,



and risk teams to maintain healthy asset quality, optimize approval turnaround time, and support business growth.

Manager will also prepare and review credit reports, participate in audits, and contribute to process improvements and staff training related to credit assessment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Credit Management and Credit Risk Management to evaluate and approve loan proposals responsibly.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and a sound understanding of Finance to interpret financial statements and assess repayment capacity.
- Candidates should possess a working knowledge of Credit concepts, policies, and regulatory requirements relevant to retail housing finance.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with branch teams and senior management.
- Candidates should possess relevant experience in banking or housing finance; a graduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using MS Excel and related tools for data analysis and reporting, along with solid attention to detail and integrity in decision-making.
