Role Description The Arc Welder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Malerkotla.
The Arc
Welder will perform daily welding tasks using arc welding techniques on various metal components, following technical drawings and work instructions.
Responsibilities include setting up welding equipment, preparing and aligning materials, performing welds (including basic TIG and MIG where required), and inspecting finished work to meet quality and safety standards. The role involves collaborating with supervisors and other team members, maintaining tools and machinery,
and adhering to all workplace safety and housekeeping practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Arc Welding and general Welding for industrial and fabrication work.
- Candidates should possess skills in TIG Welding and MIG Welding for specialized joints and wide-ranging metal thicknesses.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials, including basic properties of metals and appropriate welding techniques.
- Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work orders.
- Candidates should possess a commitment to safety, including use of PPE, knowledge of welding safety protocols, and equipment handling.
- Candidates should possess prior experience in a factory or industrial setting; a relevant welding certification or vocational training is preferred.
- Candidates should possess good physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to work on-site in varying conditions.
