Job Overview:
We are looking for a GCP Cloud Capacity Analyst with approximately 4 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, capacity planning, resource forecasting, and FinOps. The candidate will analyze resource utilization, forecast future infrastructure demand, optimize GCP costs, and develop capacity reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze historical resource utilization and forecast future CPU, memory, and storage requirements.
Monitor and manage GCP quotas,
Compute Engine reservations, and Committed Use Discounts (CUDs).
Perform cloud cost analysis and recommend resource right-sizing and optimization strategies.
Use SQL or Python for data analysis, trend identification, and capacity modelling.
Work with BigQuery and GCP Cloud Monitoring to develop capacity reports and dashboards.
Coordinate with engineering teams to address regional capacity constraints and ensure infrastructure availability.
Preferred Skills: Terraform, Looker/Grafana, Google Cloud certifications, and cloud cost management tools.
