Job Summary

The Associate Housekeeper will support the Executive Housekeeper in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and guest satisfaction across guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role involves supervising housekeeping operations, managing room readiness, training associates, controlling housekeeping inventories, and ensuring compliance with Orchid's service and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Operations

- Supervise daily cleaning and upkeep of guestrooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released on time as per hotel standards.
- Monitor room status and coordinate closely with Front Office and Engineering.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and housekeeping-related concerns promptly.

Team Leadership

- Lead and motivate housekeeping associates and supervisors.
- Conduct daily briefings and shift allocations.
- Train team members on cleaning procedures, service standards, grooming, and safety practices.
- Monitor productivity and service quality.

Quality & Guest Satisfaction

- Conduct regular room and area inspections.
- Ensure adherence to brand standards and guest expectations.
- Maintain high cleanliness scores and guest satisfaction ratings.
- Resolve housekeeping service recovery situations effectively.

Inventory & Cost Control

- Monitor usage of linen, guest supplies, uniforms, and cleaning materials.
- Assist in inventory management and stock control.
- Minimize wastage and ensure departmental cost efficiency.
- Support vendor coordination and procurement requirements.

Hygiene, Safety & Sustainability

- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation,



and safety standards.
- Follow all fire, health, and security procedures.
- Support the hotel's environmental and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste in line with Orchid's eco-friendly practices.

Coordination

- Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, Security, and Laundry departments.
- Ensure smooth room turnover and operational efficiency.
- Assist during VIP arrivals, events, and high-occupancy periods.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
- 1-10 years of housekeeping experience in branded hotels.
- Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory role preferred (AM-Housekeeper).
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, linen management, and cleaning chemicals.
- Good leadership, communication, and guest handling skills.
- Proficiency in housekeeping systems and Microsoft Office preferred.
