AutoCAD Product Designer

Designation: AutoCAD Designer / Product Design Engineer

Department: Product Development / R&D;

Experience: 3 to 5 Years

Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Location: Surat, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify 2D technical drawings and 3D product models using AutoCAD.
- Develop detailed product drawings with dimensions, tolerances and specifications.
- Support recent product development, design modifications and product improvement activities.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and exploded views wherever required.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality and other relevant teams for product development.
- Review product dimensions, materials and design feasibility before production.
- Support prototype development, sample evaluation and design validation.
- Maintain updated drawings,



revision records and technical documentation.
- Identify design errors and implement modifications based on feedback.
- Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product specifications, where required.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- Understanding of technical drawings, dimensioning, tolerances and engineering standards.
- Knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360.
- Knowledge of plastic moulding, metal fabrication or consumer-product manufacturing.
