About the Role

AWS Geek is looking for a creative and technically skilled Video Editor who can produce engaging videos using both traditional video editing techniques and AI-powered video generation tools.

The candidate will be responsible for editing marketing videos, social media reels, promotional videos, advertisements, YouTube content, and other digital video assets. They should be comfortable working with raw footage as well as generating original video content using AI tools.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, transitions, sound design, and motion graphics, along with the ability to use AI tools to create innovative, high-quality video content efficiently.

Key Responsibilities1. Traditional Video Editing

- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging, and professional videos.
- Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
- Edit long-form videos for YouTube, promotional campaigns, interviews, and brand storytelling.
- Add transitions, effects, subtitles, captions, sound effects, background music, and voiceovers.
- Perform basic colour correction, colour grading, audio enhancement, and video stabilization.
- Ensure videos maintain consistent visual quality, branding, and storytelling.
- Optimize videos for different platforms, aspect ratios, resolutions, and durations.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions while meeting project deadlines.

1. AI Video Generation & Editing

- Generate video clips and scenes using AI-powered video generation platforms.
- Use AI tools to create videos from text prompts, images, scripts, and reference footage.
- Develop AI-generated visuals, backgrounds, characters, scenes, and supporting footage as required.
- Combine AI-generated clips with traditionally recorded footage and existing video assets.
- Use AI-powered tools for voiceovers, subtitles, audio enhancement, background removal, and other editing tasks.
- Experiment with AI tools to improve production efficiency and creative possibilities.
- Maintain visual consistency across AI-generated scenes, including characters, environments, and overall style.
- Review AI-generated output for visual errors, unnatural movements, inconsistencies, and quality issues.

1. Social Media & Marketing Videos

- Create engaging video content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.




- Turn marketing ideas, scripts, and campaign concepts into compelling video content.
- Develop attention-grabbing openings, pacing, and storytelling to improve viewer retention.
- Produce promotional videos, service explainers, advertisements, testimonials, and brand awareness content.
- Collaborate with social media managers, content creators, designers, and marketing teams.
- Adapt videos to suit different audiences, platforms, and campaign objectives.

1. Motion Graphics & Visual Effects

- Create basic motion graphics, animated text, titles, transitions, and visual effects.
- Incorporate logos, brand elements, illustrations, and other visual assets into videos.
- Use templates and animation tools to improve video presentation.
- Develop visually consistent content that follows company branding guidelines.

1. Content Planning & Collaboration

- Understand video briefs, scripts, storyboards, and campaign objectives.
- Suggest creative concepts and editing approaches for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with the content and marketing teams during pre-production and post-production.
- Organize footage, project files, audio assets, and exported videos.
- Maintain an organized workflow and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
- Stay updated on emerging video editing techniques, AI tools, and industry trends.

Required Skills
- Strong understanding of video editing, visual storytelling, pacing, and composition.
- Practical experience with skilled video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Familiarity with AI video generation and editing tools.
- Ability to generate video content using text prompts, images, and other references.
- Knowledge of audio synchronization, transitions, subtitles, colour correction, and sound design.
- Understanding of video formats, resolutions, frame rates, and aspect ratios.
- Ability to create content optimized for social media and digital marketing platforms.
- Strong creative thinking, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and incorporate feedback.





Preferred AI Tools & Technologies Experience with one or more of the following tools is an advantage:
- AI Video Generation: Runway, Kling AI, Google Veo, OpenAI Sora, or comparable platforms.
- AI Creative Workflows: Higgsfield and other AI-powered video creation platforms.
- AI Editing & Enhancement: Adobe Firefly, Adobe Premiere Pro AI features, Topaz Video AI, or comparable tools.
- Voice & Audio: AI voice generation, voice cleanup, and audio enhancement tools.
- Traditional Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.

Candidates are not expected to know every tool listed. Practical skills, creative judgment, and the ability to learn new platforms are more important. Preferred Qualifications
- A degree, diploma, or relevant training in video editing, film production, multimedia, animation, or a related field is an advantage.
- A portfolio demonstrating both traditional editing and AI-generated video projects.
- Experience creating social media reels, advertisements, promotional videos, or YouTube content.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, and visual effects.
- Understanding of aspect ratios and content requirements for different social media platforms.
