We are looking for experienced US Tax Professionals with robust hands-on expertise in preparing US individual income tax returns (Form 1040). Candidates must have solid knowledge of US individual taxation, federal and state tax compliance, and complex individual tax returns.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review US individual income tax returns, primarily Form 1040.

- Handle complex individual tax returns in compliance with IRS regulations.

- Prepare supporting schedules, including Schedules A, B, C, D, E and other applicable schedules.

- Analyze W-2s, 1099s, investment income, deductions, credits and other tax documents.

- Handle itemized deductions, capital gains/losses, and tax adjustments.

- Prepare federal and multi-state individual income tax returns.

- Review tax calculations, identify discrepancies and resolve technical issues.

- Maintain accurate workpapers and ensure timely completion of tax returns.

- Support junior team members and assist with technical queries, where required.

- Use US tax preparation software such as Drake,



CCH, Lacerte, UltraTax, ProSeries or ProConnect.

Mandatory Requirements

- 5-10 years of relevant US individual tax preparation experience.

- Hands-on Form 1040 individual tax return preparation experience is mandatory.

- Strong knowledge of US federal individual taxation.

- Experience handling complex returns and supporting schedules.

- Practical knowledge of deductions, credits, income reporting and tax calculations.

- Experience with US tax preparation software.

- Strong analytical, review and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience handling high-net-worth individual tax returns.

- Knowledge of Forms 1040-NR and 1040-X.

- Experience with multi-state individual tax returns.

- Exposure to foreign tax credits, foreign asset reporting and investment income.

- Prior experience reviewing returns and mentoring junior preparers.
