Moulding Engineer – Foundry / Steel Casting

We are seeking an experienced Moulding Engineer with hands-on expertise in moulding and core-making processes, mixer machine calibration, resin and catalyst applications, and refractory coating. Experience in mould shops and core shops, preferably in steel casting units, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Calibrate and monitor mixer machines to maintain consistent moulding sand quality and process parameters.
- Understand and control the technical aspects of resin and catalyst systems, including mixing ratios and curing requirements.
- Perform and supervise mould-making and core-making operations.
- Ensure proper mould and core assembly, alignment, and dimensional accuracy.
- Apply refractory coatings to moulds and cores as per technical specifications.
- Inspect moulds and cores for defects and implement corrective actions to reduce rejection and rework.
- Troubleshoot moulding and core-making issues and improve process efficiency.
- Coordinate with production, quality,



and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain process records and follow quality, housekeeping, and industrial safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in foundry, moulding, or steel casting operations.
- Robust knowledge of mixer machine calibration and moulding processes.
- Practical experience with resin, catalyst, and refractory applications.
- Knowledge of mould and core making, assembly, and inspection.
- Hands-on exposure to mould shops and core shops.
- Experience in steel casting units will be preferred.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
