Reports To: Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor

1. Job Purpose

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of hospital infrastructure, utilities, and engineering systems through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and breakdown management.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, and other building systems.
- Attend maintenance complaints and emergency breakdowns promptly.
- Monitor critical utilities, including DG sets, UPS, water supply, and medical gas systems within the authorized scope.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance records.
- Follow hospital safety procedures, PPE requirements, and infection control protocols.
- Coordinate with clinical departments and external service providers.
- Report equipment failures, safety hazards, and major repairs to the supervisor.
- Maintain tools, spare parts, and shift handover records.

1. Qualifications and Experience





- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a relevant technical trade.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience; hospital experience preferred.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and workplace safety.

1. Safety Requirements

- Follow permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.
- Use appropriate PPE and comply with hospital infection control requirements.
- Perform only authorized work within the limits of training and competence.
- Immediately report critical utility failures and safety hazards.

1. Performance Evaluation

Performance will be assessed based on technical skills, preventive maintenance completion, complaint response, safety compliance, documentation, and teamwork. Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
