Role Overview

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology platforms. The role requires a strong engineering leader with expertise in cloud-native architectures, enterprise SaaS products, modern software engineering practices, and AI-enabled applications. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with engineering leadership, driving architecture decisions, product delivery, team development, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Engineering Leadership: Lead and scale engineering teams, establish technical direction, and drive a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

● Architecture & Design: Own the architecture and design of scalable, secure, resilient,

and maintainable enterprise applications and distributed systems.

● Product Engineering: Partner with Product, AI/ML, QA, DevOps, and business teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and deliverables.

● Cloud & Infrastructure: Drive cloud-native development, preferably on AWS, including microservices, containerization, serverless computing, infrastructure automation, and cloud cost optimization.

● AI & Innovation: Enable the integration of AI/ML, LLMs, and intelligent automation into enterprise products and business workflows.

● Software Development: Provide technical oversight across backend services, APIs,

databases, application integration, and frontend technologies, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.

● Healthcare Technology & Integrations: Drive the development of secure healthcare technology solutions and integrations with external systems, including EHR/EMR platforms and healthcare interoperability standards where applicable.

● Delivery & Execution: Own engineering roadmaps, delivery timelines, resource planning,



release management, and cross-functional execution.

● Reliability & Security: Establish practices for application security, performance engineering, observability, availability, disaster recovery, and production incident management.

● Engineering Processes: Drive CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, DevSecOps, and continuous delivery practices.

● People Development: Mentor engineering managers and technical leads, build high-performing teams, and develop future engineering leaders.

● Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership and business stakeholders to align engineering investments and technical decisions with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

● 12+ years of experience in software engineering, product development, and technology delivery, with substantial experience leading engineering teams.

● Proven experience in a Director of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager,

Engineering Head, or equivalent leadership role.

● Strong expertise in designing and building enterprise-grade, scalable SaaS platforms and distributed applications.

● Hands-on technical foundation in backend development, preferably Java, Spring Boot,

microservices, REST APIs, and database technologies.

● Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including services such as

EKS/ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, and cloud monitoring.

● Experience with cloud-native architectures, containerization, CI/CD pipelines,

infrastructure automation, and production deployments.

● Understanding of AI/ML-powered applications,



LLM-based solutions, intelligent automation, or enterprise AI integration.

● Experience in system design, architecture reviews, performance optimization,

application security, and high-availability systems.

● Demonstrated ability to manage engineering teams, deliver complex technology initiatives, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

● Strong problem-solving, communication, decision-making, and people leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience in healthcare technology, SaaS, enterprise software, or other technology-driven product environments.

● Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR, and integrations with EHR/EMR systems.

● Experience building AI-enabled healthcare applications, clinical document processing platforms, NLP/LLM workflows, or healthcare automation solutions.

● Experience with DevSecOps, cloud security, enterprise integrations, and regulatory or compliance-driven technology environments.

● AWS certification or equivalent cloud architecture credentials.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
