Job Summary The Design Manager is responsible for leading the design team in delivering cutting-edge, functional, and cost-effective interior design solutions for commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and residential fit-out projects. The role ensures that all designs meet client expectations, project timelines, quality standards, statutory regulations, and budget requirements while coordinating closely with project management, estimation, procurement, and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the interior design team, including architects, interior designers, and CAD/BIM professionals.
- Develop creative design concepts, space planning, layouts, and presentation materials based on client requirements.
- Review and approve design drawings, working drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, MEP engineers, contractors, and vendors throughout the design process.
- Conduct design presentations and client meetings to obtain approvals and address design changes.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the estimation and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization.
- Monitor project design schedules and ensure timely delivery of all design milestones.
- Resolve design-related issues during execution and provide technical guidance to site teams.
- Review material specifications, finishes, furniture selections, and mock-ups before final approval.
- Implement quality control procedures for design documentation.
- Mentor and develop junior designers through regular reviews and technical guidance.
- Drive innovation by introducing new materials, technologies,



and sustainable design practices.
- Coordinate with planning and project management teams to minimize design revisions and delays.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in design software or project management are an added advantage.

Required Experience

- 10–15 years of experience in interior design and fit-out projects.
- Proven experience in commercial office, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and residential interior projects.
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary design teams and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
