Key Responsibilities

- Report on breaking news, civic issues, infrastructure, transport, politics, public concerns, and other city-related developments.

- Conduct on-ground video reporting across Mumbai, including its suburbs and surrounding areas, as required.

- Identify newsworthy stories, develop story ideas, and independently pursue leads.

- Conduct interviews with citizens, officials, experts, and other relevant stakeholders.

- Present news reports and conduct interviews confidently on camera.

- Coordinate with the editorial and video production teams to deliver accurate, engaging, and timely content.

- Verify facts, gather relevant information, and maintain journalistic accuracy and editorial standards.

- Travel extensively across Mumbai for field assignments, including short-notice and breaking-news coverage.

- Adapt quickly to changing news situations and meet tight editorial deadlines.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in journalism, video reporting, or a related media role.

- In-depth geographical knowledge of Mumbai, including key neighbourhoods, suburbs, transport networks,



and civic areas.

- Strong verbal communication skills in English, with the confidence to conduct interviews and report on camera.

- Willingness to travel extensively across Mumbai for field reporting assignments.

- Solid news sense, research skills, and the ability to identify compelling local stories.

- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced newsroom.

- Familiarity with video journalism, mobile reporting, and digital news platforms will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in digital video journalism and social media news formats.

- Ability to shoot video footage and coordinate with camera operators or video editors.

- Knowledge of local civic bodies, public infrastructure, and key city-related issues.

- Proficiency in Marathi and/or Hindi, in addition to English, will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
