Role Description The IB PYP Teacher will design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons for primary years students aligned with IB PYP standards and the school’s curriculum. Responsibilities include planning units of inquiry, preparing lesson materials, assessing student progress, and providing regular feedback to learners and families. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to school events and co-curricular activities. The role also involves maintaining a secure,
inclusive classroom environment and integrating IB learner profile attributes into daily teaching practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruchirappalli.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience in primary or elementary school settings.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Lesson Planning skills to design structured, inquiry-based learning experiences.
- Candidates should possess Training and facilitation skills to support student learning and collaborate in professional development activities.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience with the IB PYP framework or international curricula.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required; a teaching credential or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered classroom and manage diverse learning needs is beneficial.
- Proficiency in English and comfort using educational technology tools will be an advantage.
