Merck seeks an Infrastructure Specialist in Hyderabad to design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure supporting global healthcare operations. The role focuses on data archival solutions, cloud technologies, and automation within a matrix organization supporting digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Design, procure, install, and maintain technology services infrastructure across systems
Develop and improve data archival solutions for application retirement and live data management
Automate routine system administration tasks using scripting and standard development practices
Collaborate with business and IT teams on strategic direction for archival infrastructure lifecycle
Participate in product planning, execution, and delivery aligned with organizational goals
Requirements
- 3–5 years IT systems administration experience in data archival, cloud, and automation infrastructure
- Cloud engineering expertise with AWS (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS); Azure experience preferred
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting for infrastructure automation
- Experience designing and deploying scalable data archival and retrieval solutions
- Hands-on knowledge of archival platforms (Solix, OpenText, Informatica) or equivalent vendors
- Infrastructure as Code expertise using Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- CI/CD automation methodologies and Agile framework experience
