Job Title : Backend Developer - Python & AzureLocation : Bangalore (Hybrid)Experience : 3 - 5 YearsAbout the Role :We are looking for a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend applications. You will develop REST APIs, implement business workflows, integrate cloud services, and support reliable production systems.Key Responsibilities :- Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI.- Translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.- Design database schemas, optimize queries, and manage migrations using PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic.- Implement asynchronous processing, background jobs, retries, and reliable error handling.- Integrate third-party APIs and Azure cloud services.- Implement authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure secrets management.- Write unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application quality.- Build and maintain containerized applications and CI/CD pipelines.- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve reliability.- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA, and product stakeholders.- Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.Required Skills :- Solid proficiency in Python,



including asynchronous programming.- Experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or a similar backend framework.- Experience designing REST APIs, validating requests, and managing API contracts.- Proficiency in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy.- Understanding of database transactions, indexing, and query optimization.- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, role-based access control, and secure coding practices.- Experience integrating external services and handling timeouts, rate limits, and failures.- Familiarity with pytest, Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud application deployment.- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Skills : - Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, and managed identities.- Familiarity with message queues, background workers, and distributed systems.- Experience with caching and application performance optimization.- Knowledge of structured logging, metrics, monitoring, and alerting.- Experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD platforms.- Familiarity with dependency scanning, container security, and automated quality checks.
