Abbott seeks a Senior Platform Engineer for Lingo, a biosensing technology platform, based in Hyderabad. The role involves leading platform infrastructure on Azure, managing two direct reports, and owning complex cloud systems, CI/CD pipelines, and site reliability engineering practices for a globally distributed team.

Responsibilities

Allocate daily work for platform engineers, ensuring well-scoped tasks aligned with team capability development

Unblock technical challenges and guide engineers toward solutions while setting team standards

Build, provision, and maintain Lingo's Azure cloud infrastructure and high-risk platform systems

Design and operate CI/CD pipeline architecture, defining deployment patterns and release automation standards

Lead SRE practices including SLO definition, monitoring configuration, and post-incident review processes

Requirements





- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related technical field
- 10+ years of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering experience in production environments
- Solid hands-on Azure expertise across compute, networking, storage, identity, and security services
- Infrastructure-as-code proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent tools
- Proven experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Working knowledge of SRE principles including SLOs, SLIs, alerting, and incident response
- Experience with observability tools for monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing
