Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Chef / Commis to join our kitchen team. The candidate should have knowledge of pizza preparation, dough handling, sauce preparation, toppings, and baking techniques while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other required ingredients.
- Prepare and bake pizzas according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards.
- Operate pizza ovens, including deck ovens, conveyor ovens, or wood-fired ovens, as applicable.
- Maintain proper dough fermentation, portioning, stretching, and shaping techniques.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portion size, and cooking time.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pizza section.
- Follow food safety, storage, and temperature-control procedures.




- Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef about ingredient shortages.
- Minimize food wastage and follow FIFO inventory practices.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team during busy service hours.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Previous experience in a restaurant, pizzeria, or hotel kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of pizza dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques.
- Familiarity with pizza ovens and kitchen equipment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to work under pressure in a rapid-paced kitchen.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and time-management skills.
- Hotel Management or Culinary Diploma preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with experience in Italian cuisine or pizza-focused restaurants.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Candidates who can maintain quality and consistency during peak hours.

Salary: As per experience and outlet budget.
