We are looking for a skilled and proactive Server Engineer to manage, maintain, monitor, and optimize our server infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of physical, virtual, and cloud-based server environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS servers, system administration, networking, troubleshooting, and server monitoring. The candidate will work closely with internal IT and business teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Skills

Server & Cloud Management

- Hands-on experience with AWS server management and administration.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments such as Ubuntu and CentOS.
- Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Experience with server deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring.

Networking

- Positive understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, ports, and network security.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues.
- Understanding of server networking and security configurations.

Scripting & Automation

- Basic knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Ability to automate routine server administration and maintenance tasks.

Troubleshooting

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify server, application, connectivity, and performance-related issues.
- Ability to analyze logs and identify root causes of technical problems.

Virtualization

- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Understanding of virtual machine configuration and resource management.

Backup & Recovery

- Knowledge of server backup and recovery processes.




- Familiarity with backup tools such as Veeam or Acronis will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of disaster recovery and data protection practices.

Monitoring Tools

- Familiarity with server and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or New Relic will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor physical, virtual, and cloud-based servers.
- Manage and maintain AWS server infrastructure.
- Monitor server performance, availability, resource utilization, and system health.
- Troubleshoot server, network, connectivity, and performance-related issues.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, upgrades, and security configurations.
- Monitor and maintain server security and follow basic security best practices.
- Configure and manage backup and recovery processes.
- Assist in maintaining virtual environments and resolving VM-related issues.
- Use scripting and automation tools to simplify routine administration tasks.
- Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support for server and infrastructure-related issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for technical escalations when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of server configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Monitor disk space, CPU, memory, services, and other critical server resources.
- Assist with database server and storage management activities.




- Maintain and troubleshoot database environments such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Follow company procedures for server maintenance, backup, security, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 months to 2 years of relevant experience in Server Engineering, System Administration, Cloud Administration, or a related role.
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS server administration is required.
- Relevant certifications are an advantage, such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- CompTIA Server+
- RHCSA
- Microsoft certifications
- VMware certifications

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with practical experience in AWS server administration will be preferred.
- Good understanding of Linux/Windows server environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and networking fundamentals.
- Candidates who can work from the Vashi, Navi Mumbai office.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
