Job Description: Software Test Engineer

Location:Chennai/ Bangalore

Experience: 0-2 years

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

**Required Skills**

* 12 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
* Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
* Strong knowledge of manual testing concepts.
* Experience in writing clear and effective test cases.
* Good understanding of defect life cycle.
* Knowledge of severity, priority, and defect classification.
* Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
* Understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman is an advantage.
* Valuable understanding of web application testing.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and documentation skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Analyze business and functional requirements and identify test scenarios.
* Prepare test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on requirements.




* Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
* Execute test cases and document test results.
* Identify, report, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
* Perform UI and usability testing across different browsers and devices.
* Validate application workflows and business rules.
* Perform database validation using SQL queries.
* Perform regression testing for new releases and bug fixes.
* Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other QA team members.
* Support release testing and production validation.
* Maintain testing documentation and provide quality status updates.
* Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and testing processes.
