About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager R&D; to lead product development and product lifecycle activities within our R&D; team.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge combined with product management, project leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with R&D;, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Purchase, and Service teams to develop and continuously improve cutting-edge medical products.

The candidate will play a key role in taking products from concept to development, validation, commercialization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Development

* Own and drive the complete product development lifecycle from concept to commercialization.

* Understand customer, market, and business requirements and translate them into clear product requirements.

* Identify opportunities for new product development, product enhancement, and cost optimization.

* Prepare and maintain product requirements, specifications, development plans, and product roadmaps.

* Coordinate with R&D; engineers to ensure products meet defined technical and functional requirements.

* Drive design improvements based on customer feedback, field performance, quality issues, and market requirements.

R&D; & Project Leadership

* Lead multiple product development and engineering projects from initiation to completion.

* Define project timelines, milestones, priorities, and deliverables.

* Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical and operational bottlenecks.

* Coordinate with Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Firmware, Quality, Manufacturing, and other technical teams.

* Ensure timely completion of prototypes, testing, validation, and product release activities.





* Conduct regular project reviews and provide management with progress updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Act as a key interface between Product Management, R&D;, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Purchase, Sales, and Service teams.

* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure product designs are suitable for production and assembly.

* Coordinate with Quality and Regulatory teams for product compliance, validation, documentation, and approvals.

* Support Sales and Service teams by providing technical and product-related inputs.

* Work with suppliers and external partners wherever required for product development.

Product Improvement & Cost Optimization

* Analyse product performance, customer feedback, field complaints, and service data.

* Initiate corrective and preventive product improvement actions.

* Identify opportunities for BOM optimization, value engineering, design simplification, and manufacturing cost reduction.

* Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.

* Benchmark products against market and technology developments.

Documentation & Product Lifecycle

* Ensure proper product documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

* Review and maintain product specifications, BOMs, drawings, technical documents, change requests, and engineering records.

* Manage Engineering Change Requests/Orders and ensure controlled implementation of product changes.

* Support product transfer from R&D; to production.

* Monitor product performance throughout the product lifecycle and initiate improvement programs.

* Strong understanding of product lifecycle management.

* Good knowledge of DFM/DFA, value engineering, BOM management, and cost optimization.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

* Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

* Strong leadership, ownership, decision-making, and execution skills.

* Customer-focused and business-oriented approach.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be preferred:

* Medical Devices / Medical Equipment

* Electronics / Electrical Products

* Engineering Product Development

* Industrial Equipment

* Consumer Electronics

* Automotive / Automotive Components

* Precision Engineering

* Product Development / R&D;

Experience in regulated product development, ISO 13485, risk management, product validation, or medical-device development will be an added advantage.
