Skills and Experience Required

- 6 years of experience in Data Engineering / Snowflake Maintenance, Support

Solid technical skills in:

- Snowflake (Warehouses, Stages, Tables, Streams, Tasks)
- SnowSQL, advanced SQL scripting
- Performance tuning and warehouse optimization
- Data modeling (star/snowflake schema, normalized models)
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Informatica etc.)
- Strong debugging and analytical skills for production support environments
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Manufacturing domain experience
- Exposure to SAP or legacy systems as data sources

Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 support for Snowflake data warehouse issues, including performance, query failures, schema changes, and data load issues.
- Handle incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and change requests.
- Participate in on-call support, daily health checks, and proactive monitoring.
- Investigate and resolve platform-level issues,



Snowflake warehouse performance bottlenecks, access/security issues, and ELT failures.
- Support Snowflake components such as Tables, Views, Stages, Streams, Tasks, Pipes, Warehouses.
- Perform Snowflake query tuning, cost optimization, and warehouse rightsizing.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.
- Work closely with AMS Tower Lead, data engineers, and functional teams to ensure stability of the entire D&A; ecosystem.
- Troubleshoot and support ETL/ELT jobs built using dbt, Informatica or similar tools.
- Monitor daily loads, ingestion pipelines, and workflows; ensure SLA adherence for data availability.
- Resolve failures in data ingestion from SAP, SQL Server, flat files, APIs, and Azure platforms.
- Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and implement longterm fixes.
