Vision Optics is looking for a responsible, friendly, and skilled candidate to join our optical store. Candidates with a Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant (DOA), Diploma in Optometry, B.Sc. Optometry, or Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) are welcome to apply.

B.Sc. or B.Optom is NOT compulsory. Candidates who have completed DOA (Diploma ophthalic assistant )can also apply. We welcome freshers with practical knowledge as well as experienced candidates.

Educational QualificationsCandidates with any of the following qualifications may apply:

- DOA – Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant
- Diploma in Optometry
- B.Sc. Optometry
- B.Optom – Bachelor of Optometry

Candidates with a relevant diploma and positive practical knowledge will also be considered. A bachelor’s degree is not mandatory for this vacancy.

Job Responsibilities1. Eye Testing and Refraction

- Conduct basic vision testing and refraction within the candidate’s training and professional scope.
- Operate an autorefractometer.
- Assist with subjective refraction and retinoscopy, where trained and competent.
- Record prescriptions accurately.
- Explain spectacle prescriptions and vision correction options to customers.
- Refer customers with suspected eye diseases or other medical concerns to an ophthalmologist.

2. Spectacles and Lenses

- Help customers select suitable spectacle frames.
- Explain single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses.
- Explain anti-reflective, blue-filter, photochromic, and other available lens options.
- Take accurate pupillary distance (PD) and necessary fitting measurements.
- Assist with spectacle fitting, frame adjustments, and customer comfort.
- Check finished spectacles before delivery.

3. Customer Handling and Sales





- Welcome customers and understand their requirements.
- Explain frame and lens features, prices, and available options.
- Help customers choose suitable products according to their prescription and budget.
- Handle customer questions politely and professionally.
- Support optical sales and maintain good customer relationships.

4. Optical Store Management

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Arrange spectacle frames and maintain product displays.
- Maintain customer prescriptions, orders, and records.
- Coordinate with lens laboratories and suppliers.
- Check stock and inform the owner about stock requirements.
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Required SkillsBasic knowledge of eye testing and refraction.
- Knowledge of autorefractometer operation.
- Understanding of spectacle prescriptions and lenses.
- Knowledge of frame fitting and adjustments.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Interest in optical sales and customer service.
- Willingness to learn and work responsibly.
- ExperienceFreshers with relevant qualifications can apply.
- Experienced optical store employees are preferred.
- Candidates with practical experience in eye testing, refraction, spectacle dispensing, or optical retail will have an advantage.
- Salary will be negotiable based on qualification, practical skills, and experience.
