Job Description: A Senior Chemist leads laboratory research, manages quality control, and oversees chemical analysis or product development while mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities

- Research & Development: Plan, design, and execute experiments to develop or optimize chemical processes, formulations, or active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

- Analytical Testing: Perform complex chemical and physical testing using specialized equipment like HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography), Gas Chromatography (GC), spectroscopy, and titration.

- Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols (OSHA, GLP), ISO standards, and regulatory guidelines, and assist with lab audits.

- Data & Documentation: Analyze experimental results, write technical reports, and maintain laboratory notebooks or LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).

- Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise lab technicians, guide junior chemists, and coordinate cross-functional team projects.





- Equipment Management: Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab instruments.

Required Qualifications & Education
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred by many employers).

- Experience: Typically 3 to 7+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in a relevant industry (such as pharmaceuticals, agriculture, manufacturing, or environmental testing).

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, FTIR), data analysis software, and wet chemistry techniques.

- Soft Skills: Robust problem-solving, project management, communication, and organizational abilities.
