Role Description The Legal Intern role at Taxcart is a full-time remote position supporting the legal and compliance functions of the company. In this role, the intern will assist with researching tax and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions and help analyze how they apply to Taxcart’s products and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing legal documents, drafting internal memos, supporting contract reviews, and helping address legal issues related to global tax automation.

The intern will collaborate with legal, product,



and operations teams to provide clear legal insights and maintain accurate documentation. This role offers exposure to international tax and technology-related legal matters in a fast-paced, digital setting.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law with interest in tax, commercial, or technology law.
- Ability to support Legal Consulting activities, including basic legal analysis and guidance under supervision.
- Experience or training in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, and memoranda.
- Solid Communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Capacity to identify, research, and summarize Legal Issues related to tax, compliance, and data protection.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a law program (JD, LLB, or equivalent).
- Strong research, critical thinking, and attention-to-detail skills, with proficient written English.
- Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and using digital collaboration tools.
