About the Role
Oppam is looking for a compassionate and qualified Psychiatrist fluent in Malayalam to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing ethical, evidence-based mental healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct online psychiatric consultations and assessments for clients.
• Evaluate clients' mental health concerns and formulate appropriate treatment and management plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, where clinically indicated, in accordance with applicable professional standards.
• Monitor clients' progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with psychologists and the operations team to ensure coordinated and effective mental healthcare.
• Adhere to professional ethics, confidentiality requirements, and organizational protocols.
Requirements
• MBBS degree with an MD/DNB in Psychiatry or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Valid registration with the relevant medical council.
• Experience in psychiatric consultations and mental health management is preferred.
• Fluency in Malayalam is mandatory; proficiency in English is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide psychiatric consultations independently while maintaining skilled and ethical standards.
Availability Requirements
Candidates must be available for either of the following schedules:
Option 1: Weekend Availability
• Saturday and Sunday
• 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Option 2: Weekday Availability
• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
