Shipping & Logistics Manager (Handicrafts Export House)

Role Overview:

Responsible for managing end-to-end export logistics for handicraft products, ensuring timely shipments aligned with production cycles, maintaining high accuracy in documentation, and coordinating seamlessly between artisans, production units, warehouses, and global buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute export shipments (LCL/FCL, air/sea) for diverse handicraft consignments
- Coordinate with artisans, production units, and finishing teams to align dispatch timelines
- Manage SKU-wise consolidation, labelling, barcoding, and export packing standards (fragile, assorted goods)
- Oversee container planning, stuffing, and space optimization for mixed-product shipments
- Handle complete export documentation (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, LC docs where applicable)
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, export norms, and buyer-specific requirements
- Liaise with CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for smooth clearance and dispatch
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays, damages, or discrepancies
- Maintain control over warehouse dispatches and inventory movement for export orders
- Track and manage export incentives, documentation records, and audits
- Optimize freight costs and logistics planning for smaller, frequent shipments
- Lead and guide the logistics and dispatch team

Key Skills & Competencies:





- Solid understanding of export logistics for handicrafts / mixed consignments
- Expertise in handling fragile, high-variation products
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international buyer requirements
- High attention to detail in packing, labelling, and documentation
- Strong coordination skills across artisans, production, and logistics partners
- Ability to manage multiple small orders and tight timelines
- Problem-solving approach for last-minute production or shipment challenges

Qualifications:

- Graduate in Commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain / Business Administration
- 2 - 3 years of experience in export logistics (preferably handicrafts, furniture, textiles, or similar sectors)
- Hands-on experience with customs clearance and international shipping

KPIs / Performance Metrics:

- On-time shipment (as per buyer delivery schedules)
- Accuracy in packing lists and documentation (SKU-level precision)
- Reduction in damage/returns due to packaging issues
- Freight cost efficiency (especially LCL shipments)
- Warehouse-to-dispatch turnaround time

Optional :

- Experience with export fairs/exhibitions shipments
- Understanding of buyer compliance (EU/US standards, labelling norms)
- Coordination for sample shipments and urgent air dispatches

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
