Company: Human Loops Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra Employment Type: Full-time | Work from Office Experience: 5 to 8 years (preferred) About Human Loops Human Loops is building a next-generation AI data operations ecosystem, bringing together human intelligence, technology and scalable processes to support AI development. Our Data Factory operates at the intersection of people, technology and operations, where quality, productivity and workforce efficiency are critical to delivering exceptional outcomes. We are looking for a hands-on HR Manager who can build strong people processes, manage a growing workforce and create a high-performance, people-first culture. About the Role This is not a traditional HR role. Most of our workforce is blue collar: frontline, shift-based staff working on the Data Factory floor. A smaller part is white collar, across team leads, quality, operations and support roles. You will need to be just as comfortable on the floor with frontline staff as you are in a meeting with leadership. As our HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete employee lifecycle while supporting the operational needs of a fast-paced, workforce-intensive Data Factory. You will work closely with the leadership and operations teams to ensure we have the right people, processes and culture to scale efficiently. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the ground, solving problems, building systems and balancing employee experience with business requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition • Partner with operations leaders to understand manpower requirements and hiring forecasts. • Drive high-volume recruitment for data operations, annotation, quality assurance and team leadership roles. • Build efficient hiring, onboarding and workforce deployment processes. • Track recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, hiring costs and employee retention. 2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to exit. • Oversee attendance, leave management, shift rosters, payroll inputs and employee records.
• Establish HR policies, SOPs and processes suited to a growing operational workforce. • Ensure accurate HR documentation and HRMS data management. • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on statutory compliance and labour law requirements. 3. Employee Relations & Engagement • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and workplace grievances. • Build a positive, disciplined and inclusive work environment. • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and workplace conduct. • Drive engagement and retention initiatives, particularly for frontline and shift-based employees. • Develop robust relationships with team leaders and employees across the Data Factory. 4. Compliance & HR Governance • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and company policies. • Maintain employee records, registers and compliance documentation. • Coordinate payroll-related statutory processes and support internal or external audits. • Implement processes around workplace safety, POSH, confidentiality and employee data protection. 5. HR Analytics & Process Improvement • Track key people metrics such as headcount, attrition, absenteeism, hiring efficiency and employee productivity. • Create regular HR dashboards and management reports. • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline HR operations. • Build scalable people processes as the organization grows. What We're Looking For • 5 to 8 years of progressive HR experience in factories, manufacturing plants • Must have handled HR for a factory, plant or production floor before, including large blue-collar, shift-based and contract workforces.
• Strong experience in HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and statutory compliance. • Experience managing large teams or high-volume operational workforces. • Good understanding of shift-based operations, attendance management and workforce planning. • Ability to work closely with operations leaders and handle employee issues independently. • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment. • Proficiency in Excel, HRMS platforms and HR reporting. Preferred: Experience setting up HR processes for a new factory, delivery centre, BPO or data operations facility. What Makes This Opportunity Different? At Human Loops, you won't simply be maintaining existing HR processes. You'll have the opportunity to help build the people infrastructure of a growing AI-focused organization. You'll work closely with leadership, influence workforce strategy, introduce scalable systems and play a meaningful role in shaping the employee experience as the Data Factory grows. If you're an HR professional who enjoys building, taking ownership and making a visible impact, we'd love to hear from you. How to Apply Skip the cover letter. Along with your CV, send us a short note (200 to 300 words) answering one of these: 1. Tell us about the biggest hiring ramp-up you've handled? How many people did you hire and in how much time? 2. How many were blue collar and how many white collars? Where did you find them? 3. Tell us about the toughest floor-level HR issue you've dealt with in a factory or shift-based operation. What was the situation and how many workers were involved? 4. What's biggest problem with Labours in Nagpur? We read every answer. The best ones tell us what you actually did, not what HR should do in theory. Email your CV and note to
