Role Description The Special Educator will work full time on-site in Madipakkam, Chennai, providing individualized and small-group instruction to learners with diverse disabilities. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing special education lesson plans, adapting curriculum for middle school level learners, and using appropriate teaching strategies to support varying learning styles. The role involves ongoing assessment of learner progress, documentation of educational goals, and collaboration with therapists, families, and other educators to ensure integrated support.

The Special





Educator will also facilitate communication and social skills development, manage classroom behavior in a positive, respectful manner, and participate in team meetings, training sessions, and parent conferences as needed.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and understanding of diverse learning needs.
- Robust teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional adaptation for middle school learners.
- Formal training or experience in special education, including individualized education planning and use of specialized teaching methods.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with learners, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in rehabilitation or inclusive education settings is an advantage.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and use basic educational technology tools.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and a collaborative, learner-centered approach.
