Job Title: Project Manager (PM) – Detailing

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager (PM) – Rebar Detailing will be responsible for managing structural reinforcement detailing projects in accordance with applicable international standards, client requirements, and project specifications. The role involves leading rebar detailing teams, ensuring the quality and accuracy of reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules, coordinating with clients, and ensuring timely project completion.

Experience in UK rebar detailing standards is preferred, along with relevant experience in UAE or other international metric-standard projects.

Key Responsibilities:-

Project Management:

- Manage and supervise rebar detailing projects in accordance with applicable standards and client requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of reinforcement detailing drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and related documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, deliverables, resource allocation, and team productivity.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve project clarifications and technical queries.

Technical Responsibilities:

- - Prepare, review, and oversee reinforcement detailing drawings and bar bending schedules.
- Ensure detailing compliance with applicable standards, including BS 8666, relevant BS EN standards, and project specifications, as applicable.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and correct reinforcement arrangement.




- Support the team in resolving complex reinforcement detailing and technical issues.
- Ensure correct interpretation of structural drawings, reinforcement layouts, sections, and schedules.

Team Management:

- Lead and guide a team of rebar detailers and checkers.
- Monitor team productivity and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide mentoring to team members.
- Support skill development and training within the rebar detailing team.

Quality & Compliance:

- Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards, applicable detailing standards, and project-specific requirements.
- Implement quality checks and drawing reviews before submission to clients.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules, and related documentation.

Client Coordination:

- Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, technical clarifications, and progress.
- Address client comments and ensure timely incorporation of feedback.
- Maintain effective client communication for smooth project execution.

Reporting:

- Provide weekly project status updates covering progress, risks, deliverables,



and resource utilization.
- Identify and escalate project issues, technical challenges, and delivery risks to management when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

B.E. in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

Experience:

- 12–15 years of experience in structural reinforcement detailing or rebar detailing.
- Experience in UK rebar detailing standards or relevant international metric-standard projects, such as UAE projects.
- Robust experience in managing detailing teams, project delivery, quality control, and client coordination.

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of UK reinforcement detailing standards, particularly BS 8666, is an advantage.
- Experience with relevant international metric standards and project-specific detailing requirements.
- Strong understanding of reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules (BBS), reinforced concrete structures, and construction drawings.

Proficiency in detailing software such as:

1. AutoCAD
2. Rebar CAD
3. CADSRC
4. Revit

- Working knowledge of Revit is an advantage but is not the primary requirement.
- Ability to interpret structural engineering drawings, reinforcement layouts, sections, and schedules.
