About Fiarra Sourcing

Fiarra Sourcing Private Limited helps international organisations meet their sourcing requirements by connecting them with capable Indian manufacturers. We work across automotive and industrial components, supporting customers and suppliers through engineering coordination, supplier development, project execution and supply chain management.

We are looking for a proactive and ownership-driven Operations & Project Engineer to join our Engineering & Supply Chain team in Bengaluru.

The Role

This is an end-to-end project execution role for someone who can take ownership of the complete pipeline—from receiving a customer enquiry to coordinating sourcing, quotations, product development, APQP, production, logistics and final delivery.

You will work closely with international customers, Indian suppliers and Fiarra's internal team. The ideal candidate combines engineering knowledge with strong communication, project management and execution skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Project Management

- Own customer enquiries and drive them through the complete sourcing and delivery lifecycle.
- Define project timelines, milestones, deliverables and responsibilities.
- Coordinate technical clarifications, feasibility assessments, quotations, costing and commercial submissions.
- Track projects from enquiry and order confirmation through development, production, dispatch and delivery.
- Proactively identify risks, resolve bottlenecks and maintain project trackers.

2. Customer & Supplier Management

- Serve as a primary operational point of contact for customers and suppliers.
- Manage day-to-day communication, technical clarifications, delivery commitments and project updates.
- Moderate discussions between customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive timely decisions.
- Translate customer expectations into clear supplier requirements.
- Build strong relationships with international customers and Indian manufacturing partners.

3. APQP & Product Development

- Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles to product and process development.
- Coordinate feasibility reviews, samples, validation,

documentation and production readiness.
- Track relevant deliverables, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans and PPAP documentation, as applicable.
- Coordinate drawing interpretation, material specifications, manufacturing feasibility and inspection requirements.
- Follow up on development issues, non-conformances and corrective actions.

4. Supplier & Manufacturing Coordination

- Coordinate supplier capability, capacity, costing and delivery assessments.
- Follow up on RFQs, quotations, production plans, sample submissions and orders.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness.
- Support supplier development, qualification and manufacturing process improvements.

5. Logistics & Delivery

- Coordinate dispatch planning, packaging, shipment readiness and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistics partners and customers.
- Understand domestic and international logistics requirements, shipment documentation and delivery terms.
- Track shipments and coordinate corrective actions for potential delays.
- Support export/import documentation and applicable trade compliance requirements.

6. Commercial Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate supplier pricing, costing inputs, quotations and commercial clarifications.
- Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, purchase orders and project correspondence.
- Track order quantities, delivery dates and pending decisions.
- Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes and action trackers.
- Identify operational improvements and contribute to scalable processes.

Mandatory Requirements

- B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
- Practical knowledge of APQP and automotive product development or launch activities.
- Working knowledge of logistics,

shipment coordination and delivery management.
- Experience in direct customer and supplier interaction.
- Excellent spoken and written English, along with effective communication in relevant regional languages.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and moderation skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach, strong follow-up discipline and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to undertake frequent domestic travel (approximately 60%).

Good to Have
- An existing qualified network within the automotive manufacturing and supplier ecosystem.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding and rubber components.
- Familiarity with international trade, import/export procedures, Incoterms and cross-border shipments.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems, automotive electronics or mechatronic components.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, PPAP and supplier quality processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and project tracking tools; ERP familiarity is an advantage.

What Success Looks Like

- Every enquiry and project has clear ownership and timely follow-up.
- Projects progress efficiently from enquiry through development and order execution to delivery.
- Customers and suppliers receive proactive, transparent updates.
- Risks involving quality, cost, technical requirements and delivery are identified and addressed early.
- APQP and development milestones are completed as required.
- Supplier responsiveness and on-time delivery performance improve.

What We Offer

- Meaningful ownership of projects in a growing international sourcing business.
- Direct exposure to global automotive customers and Indian manufacturers.
- Opportunities to develop engineering, project management, supplier management and commercial capabilities.
- A dynamic working environment spanning engineering, quality, supply chain and international trade.

Compensation: Up to ₹9 LPA CTC, depending on experience, skills and suitability. Interested?
