Company Description Copsia Capital Private Limited is focused on proprietary trading and investment in Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs), using its own capital and trading solely for its own account. The company deals in cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, tokenized digital assets, and other legally permitted VDAs, with an emphasis on compliant and disciplined trading practices.

It does not accept client funds, manage third-party assets, or operate as an exchange or marketplace, which allows transparent separation from traditional asset management and brokerage activities. This focused business model offers legal professionals exposure to a specialized, fast-evolving regulatory and commercial setting in the digital asset space.

Role Description The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support for the company’s proprietary trading and investment activities in VDAs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in India and relevant international jurisdictions. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements with counterparties, service providers, and vendors, as well as preparing and maintaining legally sound documentation for digital asset transactions and internal policies.

The role involves monitoring legal and regulatory developments related to virtual digital assets, assessing their impact on the business, and advising management on risk mitigation, governance, and compliance frameworks.





The Legal

Counsel will collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal issues, respond to regulatory inquiries, and support corporate and operational initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law with demonstrated experience in corporate, financial, or technology-related legal practice.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, including reviewing, drafting, and finalizing commercial agreements and vendor contracts.
- Experience with Legal Document Preparation, such as policies, transaction documents, compliance frameworks, and internal guidelines.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve Legal Issues related to virtual digital assets, financial regulations, and corporate governance.
- Experience providing clear, practical Legal Advice to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from an accredited institution; LL.M or specialized qualifications in financial or technology law are an advantage.
- Prior experience in fintech, financial services, digital assets, or a regulated industry is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Strong ethical judgment and commitment to compliance, risk management, and confidentiality.
