Experience

•10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3-5 years in a solution or technical architect role.

Technical Skills

•Core Java: Expert knowledge of Java 8/11/17+, concurrency, JVM internals, and memory management.

•Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.

•Architecture: Microservices, SOA, Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, and Saga patterns.

•APIs: RESTful services, GraphQL, gRPC, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API gateways.

•Messaging: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar.

•Databases: Relational (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).

•Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and managed services.

•Containers and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.

•DevOps: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Terraform, SonarQube.

•Experience with service mesh (Istio), API management platforms, or Spring WebFlux/reactive programming.

•Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and an understanding of full-stack architecture.

•Familiarity with AI/ML integration, data pipelines, or big data technologies.

•Domain experience in areas such as banking, healthcare, retail, or telecom.

Education

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field,



or equivalent practical experience.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture and Design

•Define end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise applications built on Java and related technologies.

•Design microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable.

•Create architecture artifacts such as HLD/LLD documents, system context diagrams, sequence diagrams, and data flow diagrams.

•Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools, and document the architectural decisions (ADRs).

Technical Leadership

•Provide hands-on guidance to engineering teams on design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.

•Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security.

•Mentor senior developers and tech leads, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Stakeholder Collaboration

•Work with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

•Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

•Take part in estimation, planning, and risk assessment for projects.

Quality, Security, and Performance

•Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, and security.

•Apply secure design principles (OAuth2, OIDC, encryption, OWASP guidelines).

•Lead performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of complex production issues.

Modernization and DevOps

•Lead migration of legacy and monolithic systems to cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.

•Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation.

•Drive adoption of observability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing).
